A fresh spell of Rain/ Snow likely In Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh from 5th November Evening.

Under its influence Widespread light to moderate Rainfall/ Snowfall expected in J&K and Ladakh.

During this spell light Snowfall is also expected over some plains of Kashmir Valley. But it’s totally depends upon the intensity of Western Disturbance. As of now light Snowfall possible over some plains of Shopian & Kulgam Districts.

The peak intensity of this western disturbance Likely around 6-7 November Night.

Heavy rain & Snowfall also possible during this spell over one or two places of J&K.

Another Western disturbance of Moderate intensity expected around 9 November in J&K , Ladakh, Gilgit Baltistan.

Traffic on Mughal Road & SrΔ«nagar- Leh Highway may be affected due to heavy Snowfall. Shooting stones on Jammu- SrΔ«nagar National Highway can interrupt the traffic activity during this spell. Before travelling on Jmu-Srinagar Highway You are requested to contact PCR for Highway status.

Instructions

The tribals of J&K who are dwelling in their seasonal houses with their livestocks ( above the elevation of 2000 M) are instructed to vacate their seasonal Houses as soon as possible to avoid any livestock or property loss.

Apples Growers of Kashmir Valley are instructed to store their apples into safe sites before 5 November to avoid any loss.
