A fresh western disturbance is very likely to cause widespread light / moderate to heavy rain /snow over Jammu, kashmir and UT Ladakh during next two days.
Moderate intensity Western disturbance is going affect over most parts of Jammu and Kashmir from today late night to 13 morning under its influence of this weather system,
Light to moderate rain/ snow is expected at widespread plains of kashmir while moderate to heavy snowfall in higher reaches of Jammu and Kashmir from tomorrow early morning till 12 late night.
Light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Jammu with moderate snowfall is expected in Ladakh on 11-13 Jan.
Its peak intensity from tomorrow afternoon – 12 morning ( Moderate to heavy intensity) afterthat from 12 late afternoon intensity will decrease/ reduction into ( light to moderate) till 12th late night afterthat improvement in weather is expected from 13 early morning but light rain/ snow is expected on 13 Jan also in some higher reaches.
Plains of kashmir may receive light to moderate snowfall 2-7 inches expected in plains of kashmir few plains may see more than 8 inches.
Moderate to heavy snowfall expected in higher reaches 1-3 feet expected, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, these areas may see more than 1 feet snow accumulation.
