A Western Disturbance currently affecting many parts of Jammu and Kashmir UT.
As per reports Good amount of precipitation recieved during this spell. North Kashmir & Poonch District of Jammu Province received more precipitation as compared to other parts, because the intensity of this western disturbance in North Kashmir & Pir Panjal valley recorded more as compared to other parts.
The western Disturbance brings down the temperature by 4-6Β°C in most of the Parts of Jammu & Kashmir.
Higher reaches of J&K UT brings Moderate to Heavy Snowfall during this spell.
As per reports Sadhna Top recieved 2 Feet fresh Snowfall, Gulmarg received 1-1.5 Feet fresh Snowfall, Peer Ki Gali received 1.5-2.5 fresh Snowfall during this spell. Zojila & Other higher Passes of J&K also received 1-3 feet Fresh Snowfall.
Traffic on Mughal Road & SrΔ«nagar – Leh national Highway gets closed due to Heavy Snowfall near Peer ki Gali & Zojila Pass respectively.
Another western Disturbance Expected around 9 November in J&K which may brings light to moderate rain/Snowfall.
