Today weather in Jammu & Kashmir likely to remain mostly cloudy with light rain/snow showers expected over some places especially parts of North Kashmir, Pir Panjal, Chenab valley & Some plains of Jammu, Kathua & Samba districts. Moderate rain/snow showers also possible over few places of Kupwara, Baramulla, Poonch, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar districts. Improvement in weather expected from today late evening/night hours. Thereafter mainly dry weather expected till 18 January. From 19 January another Western disturbance may affect UT of Jammu and Kashmir & Ladakh
