Appreciable Temperatures across Plains of Northwest India

Temperatures across Plains of Northwest India consisting Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi, Rajasthan & Uttar Pradesh has remained near normal over most places with usual climatological heating but Heat Wave conditions were not observed over entire region except few parts of East Uttar Pradesh.

Under the influence of Western Disturbances, temperatures were cooled down at regular intervals resulting in absence of any widespread heatwave.

Forecast:

Another Western Disturbance is likely to affect Northwest India from 26th April onwards, forecast regarding that to be issued shortly. Between 25-30 April, many parts of Rajasthan and Uttar Pradesh are likely to record Maximums above 40°C with South East Uttar Pradesh and parts of Rajasthan reporting 42°C< maximums as we move towards end of April month. Delhi is also likely to reach 40°C by 27/28th April.

South-West Haryana would also be reporting 40°C by similar time while North Haryana would be enjoying 35-38°C Max between this period. Punjab is also expected to observe Max between 36-39°C with northern districts being cooler and more heating in south Punjab as a usual geographical factor.
