Important Weather Advisory for Jammu and Kashmir, Heavy Rain and Snow Alert

Moderate to Heavy Snowfall and Rainfall Predicted over Jammu and Kashmir Under the influence of Western Disturbance.

Under the influence of Western Disturbance Many parts of Jammu and Kashmir will receive good amount of Precepitation till 31 January..

As per our analysis Today on 29 January many parts of Kashmir Valley and Some parts of Jammu Province especially the Districts of Pir Panjal Range & Chenab Valley may receive light Rain/ Snow over Middle and Higher Reaches.

From tomorrow afternoon to till 31 January Evening Fairly Widespread Light to moderate and Somewhat Heavy Rain and Snowfall Predicted In Jammu and Kashmir.

During this period Many plains of Kashmir Valley will experience Snowfall (Probability 65%). Besides it Middle and Higher Reaches Of Jammu and Kashmir may receive Good Snowfall. Traffic on Mughal Road, Sringar Leh Highway, Bandipura Gurez Road and other Higher Reaches roads may distrupt due to Snowfall.

Between 30 January Afternoon to 31 January Evening, Heavy Spell of Snowfall Expected Over Gulmarg, Pahalgam, Sonamarg, Bungas Valley, Peer Ki Gali, Gurez Valley, Doodhpathri and other Higher Reaches Of North Kashmir, Central Kashmir,South Kashmir, Pir Panjal and Chenab Valley Districts.

Light to Moderate Intensity Thunderstorm also Expected Over some Parts of Jammu and Kashmir on 31 January.

Important Note

Snow Avalanche may occur over Higher Reaches Of Ganderbal, Bandipura, Kupwara, Baramulla, Budgam, Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag, Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Doda and Kishtwar Districts and Kindly avoid trekking towards Higher Reaches Of These Districts till Weather Improved.
