Kashmir Weather, Rain/Snow likely in J&K from today’s evening

A fresh western disturbance likely to affect J&K, Ladakh from today’s evening, under it’s influence light to moderate rain/snow expected over many places of the Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh UT.

The intensity of this western disturbance likely to remain light to moderate , it’s maximum impact expected over Bandipura, Kupwara, Baramulla, Budgam, Shopian, Kulgam, Poonch, Rajouri & Reasi districts.

There are 65% chances of snowfall in the plains of kashmir in between 13 November late night & 14 November early morning hours.

If there will be snow in the plains , so, it’s accumulation will be less than 3 inch because this western disturbance is of short period duration.

Improvement in weather expected from 14 November evening, & thereafter mainly dry weather prevails across J&K for the next one week.

After this weather system the minimum temperatures in Kashmir valley likely to drop below the freezing points. Overall cold days expected after this western disturbance in Jammu and Kashmir.

Traffic on Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, Srinagar Leh Highway & Mughal road may gets affected due to snow & rain, all the passenger who are trying to travel on Jammu-Srinagar National highway on 14 November are instructed to get the highway status from PCR before travelling on it.
