Inclement Weather conditions continues in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir from the last 16 hours, Higher reaches received fresh snowfall, Rain lashes the lower valleys which brings the temperature down by 5-8°C.
Mughal road which connects Poonch & Rajouri districts with Kashmir valley is closed due to heavy Snowfall,
Educational institutions of some areas upto 8th class gets closed in view of inclement weather in the district.
As per data we have collected, Tatakooti Peak received 3 feet fresh Snowfall, Peer Ki Gali 1 Foot, Other higher reaches received 3inch-2.5 feet fresh snowfall during this spell.
Improvement in Weather expected towards evening hours & there after mainly Dry weather prevails in the district for the next 6 days,
After this Western disturbance Minimum temperatures in the district likely to drop by 2-5°C.
