Widespread Moderate to Heavy Snow predicted in Jammu & Kashmir

Widespread moderate to heavy snow and Rain predicted in Jammu & Kashmir between 11-13 January with its main activity because 11 January Midnight – 13 January Early Morning.

The maximum intensity of this spell will be over North Kashmir, Pir Panjal & Chenab valley districts.

As of now Widespread moderate snow may occur over many places of Kashmir valley during this period.

Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg may receive 2-4 feet fresh snowfall during this period. Srinagar city & other rest plains of Kashmir valley may receive 1-2 feet snow during this period.

Plains of Jammu province may receive light to slightly moderate rain during this period while the hilly areas of Jammu province may receive 6″ to 4 feet snow during this period.

During this spell Mandi, Surankote, Thanna Mandi, Darhal, Budhal, Banihal, Bhaderwah, Doda , Gool ,Kishtwar and Poonch towns of Jammu division may also receive snowfall

Ladakh region leh & Kargil districts may receive moderate snow during this spell.
