Strong Western Disturbance Will Bring Moderate to Heavy Rain/Snow in most of the parts of Jammu and Kashmir

A strong Western Disturbance is currently affecting most of the parts of Jammu and Kashmir. Under the influence of this Western Disturbance most of the places of Jammu and Kashmir received moderate to heavy Precipitation.

All the schools in Poonch and Ramban district kept closed due to inclement weather.

Higher Reaches of Jammu and Kashmir receiving Heavy Snowfall since yesterday’s morning.

As per reports the Higher Reaches Of Bandipura, Ganderbal, Baramulla, Budgam, Poonch, Shopian, Kulgam, Anantnag, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Rajouri, and Kupwara districts received fresh 2-5 feet Snowfall.

Heavy Thunderstorm also reported from many Parts of Jammu Division.

Due to moderate to heavy Precipitation Water level in Rivers increase.

Today Forecast

Today moderate to heavy and Somewhat Very Heavy Rain, Snow and Thundershowers Expected Over Most of the places of Jammu and Kashmir. There are 40% Chances of Snowfall over Some Plains of North Kashmir districts as Temperature dips to freezing point. Flash flood may also occur over some parts due to heavy Rain. Gusty winds may also occur over some parts of Jammu and Kashmir.

Tomorrow Forecast

Tomorrow some places of Jammu and Kashmir May receive Light to Slightly Moderate Rain/Snow. Improvment in weather expected from Tomorrow’s evening and thereafter mainly Dry Weather Expected till 6 March. On 7 March another WD may affect Jammu and Kashmir
