A fresh Western Disturbance Likely to affect Jammu and Kashmir from 17 February. Till 17 February Mainly Dry and Pleasant Weather Expected In Jammu and Kashmir.

Under the influence of this Western Disturbance on 17 and 18 February Scattered places of Jammu and Kashmir May receive Light to slightly Moderate Rain and Snow.

On 19 February Fairly Widespread light to moderate and Somewhat Heavy Snowfall and Rainfall May Occur in Jammu and Kashmir.

During this Western Disturbance Higher Reaches Of Jammu and Kashmir including Gulmarg, Sonamarg, Pahalgam, Peer Ki Gali, Gurez, Doodhpathri, May receive Good amount of Snowfall.

As per our analysis the Maximum Impact Of this Western Disturbance Likely over Parts of South Kashmir and Jammu Province.

Will Snowfall Occur over Kashmir Plains During this Spell?

As of Now there are 40% Chances of Snowfall over Some kashmir Plains During this Spell Mainly on 19 February. Otherwise Good Rain Showers may occur over kashmir Plains including Srinagar city Under the influence of WD.

  • Between 17-20 February, if you are plan to travel on Jammu Srinagar National Highway, Be rememberd to Check the road status from J&K Traffic Police and read their advisories which are issued from time to time.
